Flanges

A Flanges is an external or internal rib or rim for strength as the Flanges of an iron beam or for a guide, as the flange of the train wheel ; or for attachment to other object, as the flange on the end of the pipe , steam cylinder, etc, or on the lens mount of a camera. thus a flange rail with a flange on one side to keep wheel etc. from running off. The term "flange" is also used for a kind of tools used to form Flanges. By using Flanges, pipes can be assembled or disassembled very easily.
